Traffic went to one lane on FM Road 1187 Tuesday morning as workers installed reinforced concrete pipe to control storm drainage for Aledo Trail. Parker County commissioners have approved a $7,200 change order for the one-way couplet project, which will allow contractors to reinforce the existing, damaged 27-inch pipe by inserting a new 18-inch pipe through the middle of it. In a recent court meeting, a representative from Freese & Nichols told commissioners that the smaller-diameter pipe was sufficient and had been sized according to Aledo’s predicted land use.
Workers also began paving the east side of FM Road 1187 June 3.
