Pumpkin purchases to benefit Aledo High School Choir

Staff Reports

The Aledo High School Choir will offer its second annual Pumpkin Patch fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the same site as the Aledo Urban Farmer’s Market, along North Front Street in Aledo.

Pumpkins will cost $10, which will also pay for a choice of five games, including time in a bounce house.

Face painting, pumpkin decorating and lots of home-baked treats will be on hand.

In addition, choir members will sell $10 discount cards, good for special deals from about a dozen local vendors.

Proceeds go toward a spring choir trip, the location of which has not yet been determined, parent Helene Springer said.

“Last year, we raised enough to go to a leadership conference at Disney,” she said. “It covered most of the bus transportation there and back.”

Springer said a professional photographer will be on site to snap portraits with scarecrows and other seasonal decorations.
