WEATHERFORD — June 16

Online impersonation


A deputy spoke with a male complainant over the phone in reference to online impersonation. The complainant said an unknown suspect had set up a social media account using his name and photos, without consent. He said it had happened within the past two days in the 200 block of Woodlake Lane, Aledo. The case was forwarded to investigations.

June 18

Assault physical contact


At around 3:15 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 1300 block of Pete Drive, Aledo, in reference to a domestic disturbance. The 34-year-old male victim reported an assault by a known suspect. A report was generated for assault physical contact and forwarded to investigators.

June 19

Theft of property


Deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of Redbud Lane, Aledo, in reference to the theft of property. The 52-year-old male complainant advised that known individuals had taken several of the large sandstone rocks that he had built a waterfall with. A theft of property report was filed.

Burglary of a building


A deputy was dispatched to Aledo Space Station Storage in Aledo to investigate a burglary. The male complainant said an unknown person entered the storage facility property June 18 or June 19 and cut the latch and lock off a storage unit, though nothing appeared to be missing. Evidence showed the person had entered the storage unit, according to the report. A case was filed under burglary of a building.

June 19

Criminal mischief


Deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Ranch Hand Lane, Aledo, at 9 a.m. in reference to criminal mischief. The 32-year-old male complainant, who identified himself as the builder of a house being constructed on the location, said he had noticed that a window, valued at $500, had been broken. A report for criminal mischief was taken.

June 23

Deadly conduct


Deputies were dispatched shortly after 9 p.m. to the 200 block of Highland Drive, Aledo, with reference to deadly conduct. The 43-year-old male complainant said there was a fresh bullet hole in his garage door. A report was forwarded to investigations.

  • Firefighter arrested for child sexual assault

    A volunteer Hudson Oaks firefighter is in the Parker County Jail on charges he repeatedly sexually assaulted two young relatives over a several year period.
    Richard Frederick Adams Sr., 62, arrested July 21, faces two charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, a first-degree felony.

    Stephen Watson, interim chief of Emergency Services District No. 1, briefed the Aledo City Council on improvements to the city’s fire protection — including the purchase of a site for a new fire station — in Thursday night’s Aledo City Council session.

  • Aledo ISD trustees affirm hiring policy

    The Aledo ISD School Board affirmed a policy delegating the hiring of most school personnel to the administration by a 4-1 margin last week, with trustees Jay Stringer, David Tillman, Hoyt Harris and Steve Bartley voting in favor and trustee Bobby Rigues arguing that the board should retain the responsibility.
