Aledo ISD Board Trustee Bobby Rigues is one of 36 Texas school board members attending the Federal Relations Network conference in Washington, D.C. this week.
Rigues is representing Congressional District 12. The goal of the FRN is to make public education a top priority of Congress and the Administration.
“There is no better individual to represent both Aledo ISD and Texas public schools as a whole on the topic of making education a priority,” said AISD Superintendent Derek Citty. “Mr. Rigues has spearheaded this effort across Texas. This national network will undoubtedly bring more focus on our students and their education, where it is needed most.”
The National School Boards Association’s Federal Relations Network involves local school board members from every congressional district in the country who are committed to advocating for public education. Thirty-six school board members are representing the Texas Congressional Districts.
