Trinity Christian Academy val and sal named

WEATHERFORD —

Trinity Christian Academy is proud to present Christopher Payne Roewe and Elizabeth Rose Houston as the valedictorian and salutatorian of the TCA Class of 2014.

Roewe, son of Mark and Carol Roewe, has attended TCA for two years and attends The Hills Church in Fort Worth.  He plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in Aerospace Engineering. After college, Payne hopes to go on to test pilot school.

“Payne is an outstanding student academically, but also because of his genuine concern for others and a desire to always do the right thing,” TCA secondary principal Ken Nobles said.

Payne is a member of the National Honor Society and has documented over 100 hours of community service, volunteering with local charities and ministries through his church and school.  He was a safety and wide receiver on this year’s Eagle football team and played centerfield on a varsity baseball team that placed third in state. Roewe earned all-state honors in both sports.

“In every area, from academics to sports to spiritual life, Payne is one who seeks the best for those around him. He is an encourager, a scholar, a devoted teammate, and a young man with a compassionate heart and willingness to work to his full potential,” TCA Bible teacher and football coach Jeff Anderson said.

Elise Houston, the daughter of Dr. Mark and Nancy Houston, has attended TCA since seventh grade and attends Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth.  She plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in business or pre-med.

Elise is “a model of servant leadership” and “a hard worker with a genuine heart,” Nobles said. “She is respected by her peers, and represents her school and her Lord with grace and determination.”

During high school, Elise has participated in volleyball, basketball, softball, and cheerleading, earning multiple post-season honors on the district and state levels. She is a member of the high school student council and National Honor Society, and has served as president of each. Houston was recently honored with the TCA Soaring Eagle award and scholarship as an outstanding senior athlete by the TCA Athletic Booster Club.
