Following are reports recently filed by the Parker County Sheriff’s Office:
A little copper stolen, a lot of damage done
Deputies responded Oct. 31 to a burglary of habitation call in the 1700 block of Old Mineral Wells Highway. The complainant reported that his residence was broken into and copper from the water heater was taken along with a large amount of damage done to the ceiling and items inside the house. The copper stolen was valued at $40, while the damage the residence was estimated at $15,000.
On Oct. 31, deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of Sarra Lane in reference to a reported burglary. There the resident reported that an unknown person entered the residence without and stole a
Mobile red and white antique gas pump; a faded red and white antique Coca-Cola bicycle; a copper water statue; stereo equipment and speakers; and 50 plus cassette tapes of various music.
Truck, trailer taken
ALEDO – Deputies were dispatched to the 8400 block of East Bankhead Drive in Aledo on Oct. 31 where a man reported someone stole a white 2002 Ford F250 work truck along with an attached black Big Tex utility trailer containing several items of lawn care equipment. The truck’s value was placed at $7,000 and the value of the trailer and equipment was placed at $3,000.
Deputies responded Oct. 31 to the 100 block of Stonebridge Lane concerning a residential burglary report. The resident said that between 8 a.m. hours and 2:25 p.m. someone entered the residence and stole two TVs valued at $500 each.
SPRINGTOWN – On the afternoon of Nov. 1, deputies responded to the 2200 block of Thomas Road in Springtown regarding a burglary of a home where the front door was reportedly forced open and all the jewelry removed from a bedroom.
That’s not feces
AZLE – A deputy was dispatched Sunday to High Ridge Road in Azle where a man said sometime during the night someone threw a glass pickle jar full of feces onto his property. He showed the deputy the bottle, who determined the smell emitting from it was “consistent with the smell of stink bait commonly used in the taking of catfish.”
Air compressor stolen
SPRINGTOWN – Parker County deputies were dispatched Saturday to the 100 block of Canyon Valley Lane in Springtown in reference to a theft report. There a man said someone came onto the property and removed an air compressor unit.
Dirt bike taken
Theft of a dirt bike, valued at $8,000, was reported Sunday morning in the 4700 block of South FM Road 730. The bike was reportedly stolen sometime during the overnight hours.
About 11:35 p.m. Friday, Tonya R. Novak, 46, of Mineral Wells, was reportedly arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession of dangerous drugs following a traffic stop on Interstate 20 near mile marker 405 on the eastbound side of the highway. Novak was reportedly transported and booked into the Parker County Sheriffs Office jail without incident.
SPRINGTOWN – Deputies said a a traffic stop at the intersection of Icehouse Circle and Icehouse Road in Springtown led to the arrest of Kenneth T. Rittenbury, 20, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, identified as methamphetamine. Rittenbury was reportedly transported to and booked into the Parker County Jail.
