Theft of property

Deputies were dispatched around noon to the 100 block of Portales Drive in Aledo in reference to a theft. The 49-year-old female complainant said two necklaces have come up missing from her home in the past two months. A known suspect was reported, and a report for theft of property was taken and forwarded to investigators.



Assault

Deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Tanglewood Drive, Aledo, in reference to an assault. The 49-year-old female complainant said a family member had assaulted her, causing her pain. A report was taken.



Aug. 26

Burglary of a building

A deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of John Street, Aledo, in reference to a burglary. The 34-year-old male complainant said $320 of tools had been taken from his garage without permission. A case was generated for burglary of a building. There are no known suspects, officials say.



Aug. 28

Driving while intoxicated

A DPS trooper, interviewing Larry Tim Viehman in a local hospital after the 50-year-old Aledo resident’s vehicle allegedly hit a fence, later arrested him for driving while intoxicated, according to an affidavit filed the day of the arrest. Viehman, who underwent treatment for head injuries, according to the affidavit, told the trooper he had not reported the crash, which he said occurred at an unknown location as he was driving home after “a few beers” at a restaurant. Viehmann refused to provide a blood sample, according to the affidavit. He was handcuffed in the hospital parking lot after treatment and transported to the Parker County Jail, the affidavit states. Viehman was booked into the jail at 2:25 a.m. and released shortly before noon, according to the Parker County Jail website. Bond was set at $750.
