School flu shot clinics

Staff Reports

 Aledo ISD will host Parker County Hospital District’s flu shot clinics on the following schedule:

Tuesday, Oct. 8

McCall Elementary, Coder Elementary – 7:30 a.m.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 9

AHS, AMS, McAnally Intermediate – 7:30 a.m.

 

Thursday, Oct. 10

Stuard Elementary – 7:30 a.m.

Ninth Grade Center – 7:30 a.m. (will then go to The Learning Center)

 

Friday, Oct. 11

Vandagriff Elementary – 7:30 a.m.

For questions, parents may call the PCHD at (817) 458-3254.

Parents must fill out a consent form for their child to receive the immunization. The clinics will run until all those with completed forms have received their shots. Clinics are open to the public, and cost $15 for adults. (Insurance can be billed. Insurances accepted are BCBS, United and Cigna). Children ages 6 months to 18 years may receive the vaccine without cost. Flu mist and the injection will both be available.

  • ESD 1, Annetta South close on fire station site

    Parker County Emergency Services District No. 1 and Annetta South officials said Tuesday that the ESD is homing in on a site for a new fire station to serve residents in the Annettas and surrounding areas. Annetta South is expected to consider a zoning change to accommodate a new station next month.

    Former Parker County Assistant Elections Administrator Laura Watkins, who sought, but was not appointed to the post of Parker County Elections Administrator after Robert Parten retired, last week began work as assistant elections administrator for Palo Pinto County, Palo Pinto County Elections Administrator Judith Evans has confirmed.
