Royce & Martha Helen Bodiford

— Royce and Martha Helen Bodiford of Odessa recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
The event was hosted by their son, Terry Bodiford of Houston and daughter, Michelle Bodiford Olson of Amarillo. Royce and Martha Helen have four grandchildren.
Royce Bodiford, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Bodiford and Martha Helen Hayes, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Hayes were both graduates of Millsap High school. Royce and Martha Helen were married in the Millsap Baptist Church Jan. 11, 1958, in a double ring ceremony performed by the late Rev. Ellis Hilliard.
Royce and Martha Helen lived in Amarillo for more than 30 years before moving to Austin and later to Odessa in 1996. Royce retired from television and radio in 2003, after 43 years in broadcasting. Martha Helen is a homemaker.
Royce is currently serving as Mayor Pro Tem on the Odessa City Council. Both Royce and Martha Helen are active in the community.
