Jim Bob & Kate Measures celebrate 50th anniversary

Jim Bob and Kate Measures of Springtown, Texas, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, April 5, 2009. They were married in Madill, Okla. on Sunday April 5, 1959.

The Measures’ owned and operated Radiofone in Weatherford for about 30 years until they sold the business and retired to their farm in Springtown in 2001. They are members of South Main Church of Christ in Weatherford.

Their children are Cheryl Measures and Charlotte Loggins of Weatherford, grandchildren, Jamie Loggins of Decatur, Jennifer Thompson of Fort Worth, and Thomas Wong of Weatherford, and one great-grandchild, Jack Loggins Thompson of Fort Worth.

The couple will take a short trip now, with an Alaskan cruise planned for later in the summer.



Dee and Beverly Railsback

Dee and Beverly Railsback will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on April 12, 2009.

John Dee Railsback and Beverly Ann Dodd Railsback married in Springtown, Texas on April 12, 1959. Dee worked as a barber in Weatherford the first years of their marriage and then worked for General Dynamics, now Lockheed Martin, for the last 37 years. Beverly was a special education teacher for the Weatherford schools and is now a housewife.

Their children are David Railsback and Dell Railsback, both of Weatherford.

Dee and Beverly plan to celebrate their Golden anniversary with a trip to Las Vegas, Nev. Upon their return, a small party hosted by family and friends will be held in honor of the Railsbacks.
