Curtis and Peggy Butler will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 19, 2008.
A casual reception given by their children will be held at their church, World Ministry Outreach, 510 E. Hwy. 8, Stephenville, Texas, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20.
Family and friends are invited to come by and share in the celebration.
Curtis and Peggy Butler met at Millsap High School. The couple married a year later on Sept. 20, 1958. After several moves, the couple finally settled down in Fort Worth in 1965, where they remained until retirement.
Peggy worked many years for Tandy Corporation. Curtis retired from Bell Helicopter after 33 years of service. They have resided in Huckabay for the past 12 years.
Curtis and Peggy are committed to God, their church, family, friends and community. As part of their on-going ministry, the couple will be leaving at the end of September, going to New Mexico where they will deliver clothes and food to the Navajo Indian Nation.
They have two sons and a daughter, Curtis Jr. and wife, Debbie, Toby and LaDonna. Their grandchildren are Joe, Anthony and wife, Crystal, Christy and Casey. Their great-grandchildren are Stewart and Nicholas.
We are so blessed to call them ours!
