Helen & Bill Eschliman celebrate 60th anniversary
Helen and Bill Eschliman celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Nov. 15, 2008. Friends and family honored the couple by joining them for dinner at Catfish and Company in Hurst. The evening included a personalized bingo game featuring memories of their life together. The event was hosted by their children: daughters, Linda Bradley and husband Dale of Hurst, Sandra Carney and husband Dan of Weatherford, Kathy
Oliphant and husband Scott of Watauga, and Peggy Eschliman of Columbus, Ohio.
Helen and Bill were married in Denver, Colo. in the Chapel at Lowry Air Force Base. They first met on a blind date and were instantly drawn to each other. After dating five months they set the wedding date, Friday, Nov. 13, 1948. After spending a short time in Colorado they moved to Ohio for 20 years until they moved to Hurst, Texas in 1969, where they still reside in the same house.
The grandchildren that were able to attend were Angela Brooks and husband, Robert, Shannon Carney Sweatt and husband, Craig, Stacey Carney, Damon Oliphant, and Scottina Oliphant Haase and husband, Kenny. Helen and Bill's great-grandchildren that were able to attend were Ashtyn Sweatt, Caleb Forbes, Kailey Haase, Ethan Brooks, and soon to be Callen Sweatt.
Helen and Bill continue a wonderful legacy of love and guidance to carry on through their five children, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren who love and admire them greatly.
