Swains celebrate 40 years

Harold and Ruth Swain, of Weatherford, celebrated 40 years of marriage on June 8. After meeting in 1971 on the “Trail Ride” and dating for two years, Harold and Ruth were married on June 8, 1973, in Granbury.

Ruth, originally from Granbury, and Harold, who grew up in Weatherford, made Weatherford their home. They have one daughter, Amber Rutledge. Harold is a retired farrier, but now manages a game ranch in South Texas. Ruth is the COO at Power Service Products in Weatherford. In their spare time, the couple enjoys spending time with their prized grandson, Zane, traveling in their RV, playing golf, hunting, antiquing and spending time on their land in Comanche. Harold and Ruth plan to celebrate with a quiet dinner with their daughter, Amber, and her husband, Luke, and have an Alaskan cruise scheduled for later this year.
