On Sept. 11, officers from the Parker County Retired Teachers visited the local office of State Rep. Phil King to present a thank you scroll for his support of SB 1458, which will allow Texas retired teachers to receive a raise. Parker County retirees signed a second scroll that was sent to State Sen. Craig Estes for his support. Pictured, from left to right, are Brad Tibbetts, Bonnie Wallace, Kathryn Jordan, and Louretta Evans. Seated, receiving the scroll on behalf of State Representative King, who was in Austin, is his District Manager, Judy Flanagin.
