The play of the night, regardless of the outcome, was a pass from WHS quarterback Grant Werts to senior receiver Chris Whitling (7), shown here keeping his eye on the ball between two Cleburne defenders as he snagged the rebound of a tipped ball, and scored a touchdown for Weatherford’s second score of the game. Whitling finished the night as the Roos’ top receiver, with seven catches totalling 75 yards and a pair of TDs.
