Peaster provided an illustrious example of the success for Parker County student-athletes continuing their respective education and sports pursuits at the college level. Four of the Lady Hounds’ seven seniors on its 2012-13 squad committed to play volleyball at the next level. During the winter-spring months in 2013, there have been more than 40 area athletes in eight sports who inked letters-of-commitment to extend their careers. And there may be more to come through the balance of the summer, as the commitment deadline for most sports extends until Aug. 1.
