Backed by members of the Garner ISD school board, Garner Elementary School students don hard hats and grab golden shovels to help ceremoniously turn the first spades of dirt on the district’s $2.5 million capital improvements project. District voters approved a $2 million capital bond last fall. The other monies for the project will come from accrued savings.
