City of Mineral Wells Horticulturist Steven Chamblee shows a use he found for some discarded football helmets – planters. The helmets are now holding plantings inside the Nancy Newby-Brown Memorial Greenhouse at Chandor Gardens. The facemasks provide handles and an easy way to hang them, while air holes in the tops of the helmets, when turned upside down, allow for drainage.
