A crane swings into place the first of six precast concrete beams, weighing about 14,000 pounds each, into Lake Weatherford that will serve as the footing for the new 90-foot long public boat ramp. The longer ramp will boaters to launch their crafts even when lake levels are low. The project will be completed later this week, and the ramp opened for use sometime during the second week of May.
