A wall of flames consumes trees and brush on the east side of State Highway 16 on Tuesday afternoon where, similar to the PK Complex Fire in April, residents of The Cliffs, as well as the Garland Bend and Fortune Bend areas, had to be evacuated. Volunteer fire departments as well as Texas Forest Service and interagency ground and aerial fire equipment as well as personnel were called in to battle the blaze that totaled more than 3,000 acres as of Tuesday evening.
