1103 FB WHS JBrownlee catch-run

Weatherford sophomore running back Jeuqwan Brownlee (24) breaks into the open after gathering in a screen pass from QB Bryce Burks late in the first half on Friday against Arlington Lamar. The 37-yard gain put the Roos at the 6-yard line with time enough to run a couple more plays, but the referees allowed time to dwindle to four seconds even though Brownlee was tackled out of bounds. The inexplicable call left the Roos with four seconds on the clock. Trey Rich booted a 24-yard field goal to set the halftime score at 21-10. Weatherford’s offense had trouble finishing drives after the break and fell to the Vikings 42-10. WHS returns home on Friday to face Arlington Houston on Senior Night.
