TCU’s Amon G. Carter Stadium has been named one of five nominees for Sports Facility of the Year at the 2013 Sports Business Awards by SportsBusiness Journal and SportsBusiness Daily.
Amon G. Carter Stadium is the only college football facility in the group. The other nominees are the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, Fla., Marlins Park in Miami and UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion.
The 2012 campaign marked the Horned Frogs’ first season in their longtime home after its $164 million rebuild.
The Sports Business Awards recognize excellence and outstanding achievement in the business of sports for the period from March 1, 2012 through Feb. 28, 2013. Sports facilities (new, renovated or established) in North America whose primary function is hosting and staging sports events were eligible.
Winners will be announced at a May 22 awards ceremony at the New York Marriott Marquis at Times Square.
