Carter was named earlier this month to the watch list for the Paul Hornung Award, presented to the nation's most versatile player.
The Horned Frogs' top returning receiver this season, Carter placed second on last year's team with 36 receptions for 590 yards and six touchdowns. He also averaged 25.1 yards on kickoff returns.
A junior from Euless, Texas, Carter had back-to-back 100-yard receiving games in wins over Kansas and Virginia. He had a career-best eight catches, including two touchdowns, against the Jayhawks. His one-handed 68-yard scoring grab versus the Cavaliers was the Top Play on ESPN's SportsCenter. He had a career-long 80-yard touchdown reception against Oklahoma.
In TCU's 39-38 win at West Virginia, Carter threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Corey Fuller in the second overtime to set the stage for the Horned Frogs' game-winning 2-point pass on the ensuing snap.
