ARLINGTON — Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas spent a recent morning welcoming home 127 active duty soldiers in an event sponsored by DFW Airport and the North Texas Commission.
Each day, more than 100 soldiers pass through DFW International Airport on their way home for two weeks of much needed time with family and friends. One flight lands everyday; and everyday an enthusiastic group of supporters is present at the terminal to cheer and to give these soldiers a proper Texas Welcome.
“Seeing so many people of all ages and backgrounds come together to welcome the troops was a truly heartwarming experience,” says Stephanie Coleman, a Workforce planner with Workforce Solutions of North Central Texas.
The North Texas Commission is a regional non-profit consortium of businesses, cities, counties, chambers of commerce, economic development entities and higher education institutions in the North Texas Region.
The Commission is the one and only public-private regional organization committed to enhancing the overall economic vitality and quality of life of North Texas.
Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas is one of 28 local workforce boards throughout the state.
