Mineral Wells Music Grand Opening to include Guitar Hero Tournament

MINERAL WELLS – Do you have what it takes to be the Mineral Wells Music Guitar Hero Champion? In the spirit of all things music, Mineral Wells Music is celebrating their Grand Opening this Saturday, June 20, with an all ages XBOX 360 Guitar Hero World Tour Tournament. The tournament is open to the public, and will begin at noon.

Performers are encouraged to show their best rock-jumps, scissor-kicks and swinging arms. Contestants will compete for prizes on a 73-inch screen (guitars provided). Contest entry is $10, and participants under age 18 will require parental consent. Judges will score contestants on their rockmanship, style (everything from rock-stance to leather pants) and appeal. Participants are encouraged to ‘dress the part.'

Mineral Wells Music is a one-stop shop for budding musicians. Currently, guitar lessons are being offered, and enrollment is open for lessons. Owner Stan Crawford, Palo Pinto County native and indie recording artist, plans to house a wide variety of musical instructors as well as merchandise. Mineral Wells Music is located at 214 SE 1st Avenue, Mineral Wells, TX 76067.
