Texas Business Women of Parker County host Reg. 4 conference

WEATHERFORD – Formerly known as Weatherford Business and Professional Women's organization, the Texas Business Women of Parker County members hosted their Region 4 fall conference Oct. 2-3 at the Central Christian Church.

Special gust speaker at the Saturday session was Carolyn Grady of Appleton, Wis., who is a past national president of BPW/USA 2003-2004, a successful business professional and sought after as a coach, mentor and teacher relating to working women, leadership and business ownership.

Almost 40 TBW members from Region 4 attended the weekend conference. They were from Arlington, Fort Worth, Cleburne, Waco, northeast Tarrant County and Weatherford.

Cindy Hanna of Weatherford's TBW organization, is the current Region 4 Director and presided during the conference. Her theme for the two-day meeting was "Racing Towards a Brighter Future," with NASCAR memorabilia as decorations.

Following the Friday night dinner, the attendees were entertained by the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre presentation of "Driven to Murder."

Current officers of Texas Business Women of Parker County are Kathy Smith, president, Barbara Farley, first vice president, Martha Tandy, second vice president, Linda Olson, third vice president, Mari Whiteman, secretary, Loretta Vick, treasurer, Cindy Hanna, immediate past president, and Anita lair, parliamentarian.

Directors are Cheryl Cooper, Ila Cooper, Diane Ernst and Dr. Barbara McGregor.

Membership is open to all women, employed or retired.
