Katie Rose

Christmas is right around the corner and Elizabeth Hall believes she has the perfect gifts for many women.

She and her daughters, Katie and Ellie Rose, are the driving force behind Katie Rose Bath and Body, which specializes in lotions, spritzers and oils for women. Hall says she has been fascinated with those types of products since she was young living in the Pacific Northwest as a self-described “hippie chick.”

“I spent my babysitting money growing up at this shop in town that was kind of like a Bath and Body Works before its’ time,” Hall said. “It was just kind of a hobby of mine as I loved all the smells and such.”

Hall moved to Texas back in the 1990s to take a teaching position and saw no one in the area had a business like the one she had up north. She got married and had a family, but never lost her desire and interest on making her own lotions and such.

Back in 2011 with her children being home schooled, she decided to take a leap of faith and start her business with some of the entrepreneurial spirit she says she has always had. She says her theme of “sweet and simple, timeless and Texan” goes into everything she develops.

She first started making her own lotions such as Parker County Peach, Bling and others. For the holidays, she has come up with Salado, which Hall says has a warm, cranberry scent similar to what you would find in many gift shops. Her Texas Tinsel is also perfect for the holidays as well with all being popular sellers yearround.

She developed her line of spritzers which coincide well with the lotions, as part of the Parker County Peach Festival.

“Lotions aren’t real popular when it’s 105 degrees outside, so I developed a spritzer for the festival, which I kept on ice,” Hall said. “They went like hotcakes, so I just kept going with it.”
