First National Bank of Weatherford promotes employees


WEATHERFORD DEMOCRAT

— WEATHERFORD – The First National Bank of Weatherford, President and CEO Lin Bearden, along with the board of directors announced two recent promotions within the bank.

Evon Markum has been promoted to Senior Vice President Marketing, Markum  joined First National Bank of Weatherford in May of 2004. Evon is involved in numerous local charities and assist with the Parker County Health Foundation’s event  “The Pink Luncheon” held in October. The Independent Bankers Association of Texas awarded the First National Bank “Best in Community Banking” the past four years, under her direction. Most recently she was named “Woman of the year” by the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce.  She and her husband Don reside in Weatherford and enjoy spending time with their friends and family.

John Patterson has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Patterson began working as a teller in March of 2005, serving later as loan assistant and finally moved into his current role as collections officer. John assistant The Salvation Army as Treasurer and is also a Junior Achievement Instructor.  John is a member of the Weatherford Optimist Club. He and his wife Chelsey reside in Weatherford and recently were blessed with a baby girl, Addison.  He enjoys weekends with his family, playing golf and fantasy football.  

The First National Bank of Weatherford will celebrate their 130th anniversary in May. The tradition and heritage of the bank is to promote employees from within and build on the leadership of local Parker County families. The First National Bank of Weatherford is “Texas’ Oldest National Bank.”
