Weatherford Weatherford Christian School has entered six-man football competition under new guidance this season, as head coach Alan Weaver has taken on the duties for the Lions. Weaver coached at Arlington Fellowship Academy before taking the helm at Weatherford Christian this year. WCS is a member of the Texas Christian Athletic Fellowship (TCAF), and plays in District 1 of Division II.

The Lions faced Faustina in their home debut last Friday night. Senior Tucker Bomar led WCS in rushing with 17 carries for 110 yards and one touchdown. Bomar also had three receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown. The Lions lost to Faustina, 60-12.

WCS will host Mineral Wells Community Christian Friday. WCS is also fielding a junior high six-man football team for the first time this year.
