Suspect in Vegas rampage lived in Indiana

(Continued)

ANDERSON, Ind. —

He failed to make monthly payments on the amounts he owed, and a probation violation was filed in 2004. He was ordered to a substance abuse treatment center but violated his probation again. In 2008, a warrant for contempt of court was filed. In 2010, paperwork was sent to Tippecanoe County, where he was living at the time.

On Oct. 10, Miller posted a comment about the probation violation on his Facebook page: "So apparently I have a warrant for a probation violation in Madison county from 2003. Now I have to get a lawyer to get this taken care of. This is a blatant abuse of the system. They say I signed a plea agreement stating I would do supervised probation. I never did such a thing. Our mafia government is making an attempt to keep me in Indiana to prevent me from making a difference."

While living in Lafayette, he was arrested for criminal recklessness, marijuana possession and misdemeanor battery among others.

The Lafayette Journal & Courier reported that police arrested him on Nov. 26, 2010, on allegations of dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. On Feb. 7, 2011, he was booked into the Tippecanoe County jail, accused of strangulation battery, and on March 1, 2013, he was arrested on a warrant in Dearborn County in southern Indiana.

According to other published reports, friends and neighbors interviewed about the Millers called the couple militant, and several said the couple detailed plans to murder police officers and a desire to overthrow the government.

“The dawn of a new day. May all of our coming sacrifice be worth it," reads the last post on Miller's page, dated the day before the ambush.

Information for this story was reported by the Anderson (Ind.) Herald Bulletin.
