The 2nd annual Field of Fears is offering seven acres of frightful fun for the whole family. The fun starts at 5 p.m. and goes until 11 p.m. There will be a midway, games and concessions available. Brock United Methodist Church and Brock Baptist Church Trunk or Treat Just for Kids! at Brock Baptist Church parking lot, 6 to 9 p.m. Candy, bounce house, popcorn stand, carved pumpkin contest, games, free food, chili cookoff, dog costume contest and much more.

Clark Gardens Bootanical Park lasts from 4 to 8 p.m. at the park, located at 567 Maddux Road, Weatherford. Children can trick or treat and enjoy scary movies and participate in a people and pet costume contest. Entry to the event is free with the donation of a canned food item to benefit area food banks.

First Baptist Church 2009 Fall Festival Jungle Safari, 5 to 8 p.m. Admission $1 in advance or at the door. Games for kids of all ages, prizes and candy for kids, door prizes for adults, game room for kids 6 and under, food.

First Free Will Baptist Church Fall Trunk or Treat Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. in Weatherford, 109 N. Line St. off Fort Worth Highway. Free treats, games, food and prizes.

Indian Creek Baptist Church Fall Harvest Festival, 6 to 8 p.m. All activities and food free, bounce house and slide, hayride, magic show, cake walk, games, candy and more. For information, call Valerie at (940) 745-1308 or the church at (940) 325-8174, 104 Indian Creek Road, Mineral Wells.

Lake Mineral Wells State Park & Trailway, 100 Park Road 71, Mineral Wells, (940) 327-8950 – Storytelling Down in the Holler 6:30 p.m. - In the setting of Penitentiary Hollow for storytelling; local folklore, Native American stories, cowboy poetry, scary stories and some just plain fun stories. Bring a blanket or lawn chair that is easily carried. Event is free with a paid admission to the park. Entrance fees are $5 per person; children 12 and under are free.

Weatherford College Police Department’s 2009 Safe Halloween is from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Weatherford College Roger Williams Ballpark, located at 225 College Park Drive. This event is free to the public and provides an evening of worry-free, safe trick-or-treating. Safe Halloween is hosted by the Weatherford College and City of Weatherford police departments. The event includes candy, games and costume contests.

Zion Hill Baptist Church Harvest Festival, 3500 Zion Hill Road, 3 to 6:30 p.m. Games, jump houses and fun.
