WISD board recognizes Hannah Schwartz for selection to Baylor summer research program

Hannah Schwartz was one of only 10 students from across the country to be selected to attend Baylor University’s High School Summer Research Program.

In this program, students work alongside Baylor science professors in varying fields and then give a presentation of their findings at the end of the course.

Schwartz received one credit-hour of college science that can be used at the university. She learned about the program in January after looking for ways to expand her interest in medicine and research.

The application process required students to submit transcripts, recommendation letters and an essay. Baylor received 400 applications for this year’s program.
