Weatherford Junior Belles win platinum sweepstakes

The Weatherford Competition Team Junior Belles for winning High Platinum Sweepstakes (above 95 on all score sheets) at the Feb. 21-22 competition at Weatherford High School.

Also, the team placed second in Pom, second in Novelty, first in Jazz, first in Military, first in Lyrical, and the Judges’ Favorite for Team Pom Grand Champion Junior High Team.

Officers received High Platinum Sweepstakes and Danceline Gold (highest scoring officers for the day) Best in Category Jazz Grand Champion Junior High Team. Toe touch finalist in the Technique Challenge was Madisen Cecil. Junior soloist was Katy McMichael. WHS Blue Belles Top 10 Solo finalists were senior Julia Szabuniewicz and junior Ashley Miller. Solo Costume Award went to Bailee Love.

Division One soloists were Samantha Alexander, Lauren Bragg, Autumn Crane, Hannah Harrison, Aila Labrake, Bailee Love, Michelle Miller, Ashley Miller, Hayley Munnell, Bridget Ourada, Danielle Plocar, Kayla Plocar (two solos), Aimee Reed, Autumn Saltarelli, Savannah Simmons, Kirstyn Strand, Julia Szbuniewicz and Brittany Zamarron.

Division one duets: Danielle Plocar and Kayla Plocar (first place), Kirstyn Strand and Olivia Brooks, and Shannon Bronson and Abby Torpy.

Medium ensemble winners were Julia Szauniewicz, Autumn Saltarelli, Kelsi Early, Jamie Stockman, Lauren Bragg, Brittany Zamarron, Jessica Pinder and Sophia Beyers.

Toe touch winner in Technique Challenge was Nadine Simanjuntak.
