Carden-Olmstead

Ms. Jeanie Carden of Weatherford is pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of her only daughter, Jennifer Joy Carden, to Aaron Matthew Olmstead, son of Mark and Becky Olmstead of St. Croix Falls, Wis.

Jennifer is an enthusiastic graphic designer, freelance journalist and piano teacher. Four years in Virginia has pretty much extinguished her Texas accent, which she regrets, but in true Texas style, Jennifer enjoys riding in Aaron’s truck, teaching him to eat increasingly spicier foods, and making valiant attempts to get him to say “I’m full.”

Aaron is a bonafide Northerner (yep, he talks funny), the owner of a successful landscaping company in the Washington D.C. area, and an avid rock climber. He loves his beautiful Wisconsin family (of 16), ribs, ribeye steak, and attempting to get a rise out of Jennifer.

Both Aaron and Jennifer graduated in the Spring of 2008 with degrees in Journalism from Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, Virginia. Before they graduated, they worked together to found Kritik Magazine, an online publication for college students, which allows them to use their personal specialties in a complimentary fashion (but interrupts far too many date nights).

The Carden-Olmstead wedding will take place on November 1st at Fort Worth Presbyterian Church with much celebration to follow at Mira Vista Country Club. Both the couple and their respective families are very grateful that God has provided the answer to the desires of their hearts and Jennifer and Aaron look forward to a lifetime of glorifying Him together in marriage.
