Two females arrested in heroin case

Parker County —

Weatherford-Parker County Special Crimes investigators arrested two females in connection with delivering heroin during an undercover operation.

Ayla Adrianna White, 20, and Deanna Lee Grottalio, 20, both of Weatherford, were arrested Friday during the undercover purchase.

SCU investigators said White and Grottalio were under surveillance while they met with a male subject in order to purchase 10 capsules of heroin for $15 each. During a week-long investigation, the women traveled to Fort Worth where they purchased the drugs and brought them back to Weatherford to sell to the subject and an undercover officer.

Once the delivery was made for the 10 capsules and $150 in currency was exchanged, both Grottalio and White were taken into custody. Both women were arrested and taken to the Parker County Jail. Two additional heroin capsules were discovered in White’s vehicle during a search, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

The release also states the suspects implicated themselves during an interview in the illegal drug transaction and told investigators they ingested a portion of the heroin prior to making the delivery.

Both suspects were charged with manufacture delivery of a controlled substance. Their bonds were set at $20,000 each. White was released on bond Saturday and Grottalio was released on bond Sunday.

The case will be turned over to the Parker County District Attorney for consideration of prosecution.
