Letters to the Editor, Feb. 17, 2008

Editor’s note: This is the last week for letters to the editor to be published in the Democrat for or against political candidates entered in the March 4 party primaries in county, state or national races.

No thanks, Joe

Dear editor,

Anyone that lives anywhere close to Weatherford knows how horrendous the traffic situation is here. It’s my understanding that the City of Weatherford has had the money to take care of the projects (especially the South Main/I-20 project) for years.

The Star Telegram titled their endorsement of Joe Tison “Leadership School.” Is it a trend for Joe Tison to leave his “leadership school” with unfinished business?

First, as Superintendent of Schools at Weatherford ISD, he left his position leaving the school district in a mess, thus resulting in a huge bond election to build the “Taj Mahal” that is Weatherford High School. Then, as mayor of Weatherford, he decides to resign when the city’s transportation problems are at their pinnacle.

Now, he’s asking the people of Parker and Wise counties to elect him to be our State Representative. What kind of dilemma would he leave us in if he did get elected?

No thanks, Joe.

Marianne Alderman,

Willow Park

Vote for Tison

Dear editor,

There have been several recent letters to the editor and a statement from Rep. King concerning supposed negative campaigning by Joe Tison.

Why is it OK for Rep. King to use his past record in Austin to be used in his campaign ads, but not OK for Mr. Tison to use the same record to inform the voters?

Look at all the bad legislation and acceptance of much money from power and communications industries in public record. Just because it does not make it bad campaigning.

The public needs to be informed of the activities of our elected officials.

Recently, a group of more than 500 local citizens organized to oppose construction of an air polluting, water wasting power plant in our county. Rep. King called a group of leaders to Austin professing to help us. Imagine our disgust and disappointment to learn from his financial disclosure statement he was under retainer to the power company.

Was his allegiance to the people he is supposed to represent or to the power industry? Look no farther than his financial donation to see who he represents.

Elect an honest respected person to represent us. Vote for Joe Tison for State Representative.

Lawrence Bierschenk,

Weatherford

Enough is enough

Dear editor,

Last night I received a telephone call from the Joe Tison Campaign which, to my disappointment, turned out to be nothing more than an attempt to tear down Rep. Phil King.

For the record, I believe that Rep. Phil King has done a fine job as our state representative over the last eight-plus years he has served Parker and Wise counties. However, I cannot understand why Joe Tison, who claims to be running a positive campaign, cannot focus on the issues that matter to potential voters and stop all the negative campaigning?

It has become clear that Joe Tison does not have a legitimate message to deliver; rather he simply intends to engage in the politics of personal destruction against our state representative, Phil King.

Well, this citizen and registered voter says enough is enough. If Joe Tison cannot run a clean campaign, then he doesn’t deserve to have our vote!

Brenda Bosecker,

Boyd

Where’s the real

Phil King?

Dear editor,

After reading the laudatory letters regarding Phil King in the Sunday, Feb. 10, issue of The Weatherford Democrat, I have to ask, “Will the real Phil King please stand up?”

Phil King does not respond to phone calls from his constituents, nor does he reply to constituents’ letters. Mr. King only seems to recognize our existence at all when he is soliciting votes.

Terri Brogan,

Weatherford

Democratic Primary Election

Dear editor,

Good news for all Parker County Democrats, independents and on the fence voters! You now have an opportunity to vote or a Democrat in several local races as well as national and state. This is a real treat for those of us who have kept the faith and supported our party candidates.

Some of you probably wish you had voted for more Democrats in the past. This is your privilege to vote for real change and candidates that have your interests and needs at heart. It could be an opportunity for real representation in our government for the middle class, low income and those who have been neglected in favor of big business.

Please vote in early voting or on Election Day. It will make you feel good and help our country to get back on track.

If you just have to vote in the Republican Primary, please vote for Marjorie King.

Geneva Carter,

Brock

You have my vote

Dear editor,

My husband is volunteer firefighter and with the Millsap Volunteer Fire Department. I appreciate John Roth, his foreman, Elton Glidewell, and the Precinct 3 crew more than I could ever express. Their support of the VFDs in this county has been unprecedented.

The Heavy Equipment Assistance Team (HEAT) has made a world of difference in

assisting the VFDs in protecting property and life. My husband and all of the other firefighters are able to do their job better and more safely because of these dedicated county workers that come to their aid when called upon. Thank you John. You have my vote! !

Donna Edwards,

Millsap

Not good for

Parker County

Dear editor,

Larry Lippincott, who is currently running for tax assessor-collector and has various lawsuits and innuendos flying around his campaign, seems unconcerned about supporting his own constituents or our economy.

In recent documents filed, Mr. Lippincott confirms he has hired a company in Arlington to develop his campaign materials when there are several competitively-priced organizations her in Parker County that are highly capable of creating the exact same products.

Furthermore, Mr. Lippincott shows his disdain for the Parker County economy by going outside the country to Canada in order to acquire Web hosting for his Web site.

This is ridiculous when, once again, there are several competitively-priced Web hosting companies within Parker County, or at the very least, the United States, from which one could choose.

His disdain for the local economy is quite apparent when he chooses to spend the vast majority of his campaign money outside the community.

This is unacceptable for our local political machines to provide economic stimulus to outside organizations while claiming to be pro Parker County advocates.

To be fair to Mr. Lippincott, he did provide approximately $10.28 to the Weatherford economy while at the same time, spending $2,045.71 to companies outside Parker County.

Need I remind you the campaign money he is spending was provided by contributions from local Parker County residents.

Mr. Lippincott does not have Parker County in his best interest.

His actions show he is not willing to support the economic growth of our community and basically slaps us in the face with the fact he even went outside the country to purchase a service that can be bought for less money inside our own country.

Put simply, Larry Lippincott is not good for Parker County.

Loyd Hamilton,

Weatherford

I like Marjorie King

Dear editor,

As a lifelong Parker County resident, I care about who is elected to serve in our local government. In each race I vote for the individual who I feel is the most qualified and will be dedicated to the office they seek.

I would like to point out that Mr. Lippincott ran for county clerk in 1998, and when he lost that race he waited until the next election and ran for tax assessor-collector. Did he just want to be on the county payroll?

I am voting for Marjorie King because she is the most qualified candidate. Her seven years working in the county auditor’s office provided her with an extensive background in county government. She fully understands the budgeting process and always prepared a budget request that reflected her fiscally conservative beliefs.

It should also be noted that she presented her own budget request each and every year to Commissioner’s Court and NEVER sent one of her employees to court to present the budget! She enjoyed a good working relationship with all her constituents and had an open door policy for everybody.

Marjorie King is truly a professional dedicated to excellent service. She deserves our support.

Shirleen Havins,

Millsap

Put Marjorie King back in office

Dear editor,

I attended my first candidates meeting earlier this year, which has made me very excited about the upcoming election. I would urge every reader to attend one in order to become more informed about the candidates that are running.

I would like to encourage each of you to vote for Marjorie King. She is spoken of very highly and received a standing ovation in recognition of her character and conduct.

I believe she is loyal, trustworthy and honest. She maintained an open door policy to customers and employers alike. Her employees had a great regard for her because she kept them well informed on any changes in regards to policy and law.

I have gone into her office and have always left satisfied and confident that there would be no mistakes. Her employees were always friendly and knowledgeable, which is a reflection of Mrs. King’s own personality.

I would encourage you to vote for Marjorie King as our next tax assessor-collector. You may think that your vote doesn’t count. Please do not be mistaken, your vote is vital.

Let’s put Marjorie King back in office.

Karon Huff,

Weatherford

Lippincott disappoints me

Dear editor,

I am very disappointed in Parker County’s current tax assessor-collector, Larry Lippincott.

Friday, Feb. 08, 2008, on the front page of The Weatherford Democrat, there was a story about a lawsuit against Parker County and Larry Lippincott.

I wanted to find out more information in regards to this lawsuit, so I decided to

attend the candidate speaking in Millsap last Friday evening, Feb. 8.

Well, when I got to the speaking I was told that Mr. Lippincott had been seen at a meet and greet pancake supper in Springtown by a couple of other candidates, but unlike the other candidates, he decided not to travel to Millsap to speak and answer questions, but he did send a letter to be read to the voters in attendance.

I, for one, feel that Mr. Lippincott’s letter should NOT have been read Friday evening. I would have thought any official seeking re-election would take every opportunity to speak and answer any questions from the voters of Parker County. Mr. Lippincott was given his chance to speak Friday evening and he chose not to.

Voters of Parker County, please join me at the upcoming candidate speakings so we all can make informed decisions on whom to give our vote.

Carla Jones,

Millsap

Your last chance

Dear editor,

More proof our government leaders have lost their minds.

A federal panel urges a steep rise in the gasoline tax. They want to raise the gas tax 50 cents per gallon. Add that to the current 18.4 cent tax and that would make the tax on a gallon of gasoline 68.4 cents. States will also be asked to increase their gas tax. Motorists currently pay 20 cents per gallon to the state. This would result in an excess of 88 cents gasoline tax.

Last year oil companies made record profits on their product.

What happened to our gasoline tax money over the years? The politicians have tapped the transportation trust fund, the Medicare trust fund and all other funds, all in the name of buying your vote. Wake up America. Throw out all incumbents. They cannot solve our problems, they only create problems.

We are already in a recession. Now our political leaders want to send us into a depression. Where are our leaders? How long will we allow this bunch of wimps to stay in Washington and run our country into destruction?

Give me the power to tax and you give me the power to destroy. Our politicians in Washington have already destroyed the middle class. When are we going to say “enough?”

When was the last time you wrote a letter to the Congress or the Senate and received an answer to your letter? When you go to the polls and vote this year, think of your political enemies. This may be your last chance.

Chuck Katlic,

Weatherford

Proud to vote

for Lippincott

Dear editor,

I am a long time resident of Aledo and I know Larry Lippincott to be a hardworking public servant and I will be supporting him in his re-election for tax assessor-collector.

Larry is an honest man who has served in the office with integrity and proven leadership. I have been disappointed with the negative letters that I have seen directed at Larry Lippincott and I will not support a candidate who participates in negative campaigning.

Larry Lippincott has done an excellent job for the people of Parker County and he has provided the first-ever auto registration office in East Parker County that is open five days a week. I always have a pleasant experience when I visit the new office. The employees are very helpful and the service is very efficient.

I am proud to ask my friends and the people of Parker County to join me in voting for Larry Lippincott for Parker County Tax Assessor-Collector on March 4, 2008.

Mary Lou Lee,

Aledo

In support of

my husband

Dear editor,

Larry Lippincott is seeking re-election as your county tax assessor-collector. I would like to share with your readers some things they need to know about Larry Lippincott.

Larry and I have been married for more than 20 years and have two sons. He is a wonderful husband, father and a dedicated public servant. He has always had the heart of a servant and that is the way he sees himself in his role as your tax assessor-collector.

Larry loves God, loves his family and he loves the people of Parker County. He is doing an excellent job, and has a wonderful staff that is friendly and works hard to provide excellent customer service. He has the energy, the enthusiasm and the integrity to continue serving as your county tax assessor.

I have never seen Larry show anything but total respect for his fellow men and women. Larry is a quiet man, and he is a humble man, and he truly is a gentleman. Larry is a life-long, hard-working, conservative Republican who is well respected in our community, Larry is truly a man of character and integrity.

The letters and personal attacks are purely politically motivated.

The campaign for tax assessor-collector is about the future. Character counts, and I prefer a future in Parker County with an elected official who consistently demonstrates character, honesty and integrity.

Please tell your friends and your neighbors to stand up for a person of character. Cast your vote on March 4 for Larry Lippincott for tax assessor-collector.

Faye Lippincott,

Weatherford

I support Lippincott

Dear editor,

In response to the mean-spirited and hateful letters to the editor that were recently published about Larry Lippincott, I felt compelled to write my very first letter to the editor. I have personally known Larry Lippincott for more than 20 years. He is a good friend, a committed family man, a loyal and faithful husband and father. He is a man of strong Christian faith and a man of integrity, and a real, life-long conservative Republican.

Over the past 20 years I watched Larry and his wife, Faye, raise two sons, courageously fight and win his battle with cancer while giving all the glory to God. He enjoys perfect health today and rejoices knowing that each day is a blessing.

I also watched Larry win three county wide Republican Primary elections here in Parker County and go on to serve with integrity, honesty and leadership. Larry

Lippincott never campaigned for office using lies and rumors, or deliberately use misleading information as his opponent is doing now in the race for tax assessor-collector.

I believe any candidate who cannot campaign with integrity cannot be expected to serve with

integrity. That is the reason I will cast my vote for the most qualified candidate for tax assessor-collector, Larry Lippincott.

Susan Lockett,

Weatherford

Typical politician

Dear editor,

I can recall a day not too long ago when the former mayor of Weatherford, Joe Tison, declared Aug. 6, 2006, Phil King Day in Weatherford.

Phil King, of course, has served as our fine state representative for the last eight-plus years, and on that day, Joe Tison lauded Rep. King for his many qualities including his commitment to his constituents, his skill as a legislator and his recognition as a principle driven leader.

Fast forward to present day and the race for state representative. Joe Tison is running against Rep. Phil King and has turned to attacking the very qualities he lauded Rep. King for only a short time ago.

Joe is questioning Rep. King’s principles saying that Phil King is out of touch with his district and accusing Rep. King of not passing legislation to help his constituents.

Maybe Joe wasn’t aware of the groundwater conservation district that Rep. King created for Parker and Wise County last session to preserve our future water supply, or the funding Rep. King secured for the Greenwood FD to get a new fire truck to help better protect its citizens. Maybe Joe needs to be reminded of how Rep. King went to Austin and stopped TXU from running a power line right through the heart of Decatur, a route that would have impacted local schools, businesses and churches.

Going back and attacking Rep. King on the very things Joe applauded him for only a short time ago makes me realize that Joe Tison is nothing more than another typical politician, devoid of message and saying whatever it takes to try to drag his opponent down.

Rep. King has taken the high road, let’s make sure we support Rep. King March 4, and let Joe Tison know that we don’t support his type of politics in our county.

Justin McLaughlin,

Weatherford

The voice we

need in Austin

Dear editor,

I wanted to write to you on behalf of my family to let you know why we support Phil King.

Phil King is a true conservative and stands for the values we as Christians ask for in our lawmakers. He stands for families and life.

In a nation with the trying times that we have, Phil King is the voice we need in Austin.

Jon Moffett,

Azle

Do what’s right

Dear editor,

Both the November elections and reports of a recession are in the news, and I think they are closely related because the Bible says if a nation will do what is right, the children of that nation won’t ever have to beg for bread (Ps. 37:25). Doing what is right and having a healthy national economy are related.

Suppose we elect a president and Congress who promote abortion, which is murder. Is that doing what is right (Deuteronomy 5:17)? Suppose we elect those who promote the legalization of same-sex marriage, which God calls an abomination. Is that doing what is right (Leviticus 20:13)?

To have a healthy economy, we have to do what is right.

I’ve seen pictures of the soup lines, which were common in the Great Depression. Men who couldn’t find work stood in lines for food on street corners, while their hollow-eyed children and wives stood beside them. I hope I don’t ever have to stand in line for soup, but according to the Bible, it could happen.

Electing baby killers to high office in November won’t bring financial prosperity. It will do just the opposite. In America, people who are cruel to animals are put in jail, while liberal politicians who promote abortion become famous and run for president.

How right is that? It isn’t even civilized.

Barbara Pickard,

Aledo

Thank you

from Operation Christmas Child

Dear editor,

Thanks to the generosity of our neighbors in Weatherford, many children around the world have something to smile about. Operation Christmas Child, the world’s largest Christmas project, collected 8,687 gift-filled shoe boxes from local residents during last year’s collection season. These gifts from right here in our community are now on their way to hurting children around the world.

With the donations of shoe box gifts from churches, individuals, businesses and community groups, Operation Christmas Child will be able to hand-deliver over 7.6 million gifts to children in more than 100 countries. Many of these distributions are taking place right now. On behalf of our community, I would like to thank all the local collection sites for providing locations for collecting the gifts and all the volunteers who served with this amazing project for children.

To everyone in the Weatherford area who packed a shoe box gift, please be encouraged by the fact these simple gifts will serve as powerful messages of joy and hope to needy children around the world. Thank you for joining our community in this amazing outreach, and for giving to others at Christmas.

Though the Weatherford drop-off locations are closed until November 2008, it is not too late to send gifts to children overseas. Gifts are received year-round at Samaritan’s Purse, 801 Bamboo Road, Boone, N.C., 28607. For information on packing a shoe box, go online to www.samaritanspurse.org or call (800) 353-5949.

Thanks again to everyone who participated in the project. We look forward to seeing you next year!

An urgent call

to voters

Dear editor,

I want to urge the voters of Parker County to vote for Marjorie King in the upcoming election because she is the most qualified candidate for tax assessor-collector.

While serving as your elected county clerk, I met Marjorie when she began working for the county auditor. Her seven years of experience working with county budgets, personnel policies and many other aspects of county government prepared her well for the office of tax assessor/collector.

When Marjorie assumed office of tax-assessor-collector, our offices were across the hall from each other and I observed first-hand the friendly and courteous manner in which the taxpayers were greeted.

On the busiest days, before the state began staggering several registrations, Marjorie often operated the cash register and/or assisted at the counter.

I know that Marjorie worked closely with TxDoT officials and became the first auto registration office in a six-county district (including Tarrant County) to go online with a new state computer system for registering and titling vehicles.

Marjorie made boat registration available for the first time ever to the 3,500-plus boat owners, operated a full-service substation for five days per week in Springtown and one in Aledo on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Marjorie is computer oriented and maintained an interactive Web site with a picture of the courthouse annex on the home page.

Please join in voting for Marjorie King for Parker County Tax Assessor-Collector.

Carrie Reed,

Springtown

Coach Tison

Dear editor,

While at Weatherford High School, specifically the ninth grade, I had the unique pleasure and opportunity to have Joe Tison as my football coach.

Throughout my high school and college years I had many coaches, some I have long forgotten about, but not Coach Tison, at that youthful impressionable age, he made a very lasting impact on my life that I still feel today.

He taught me truth above everything else was primary to a good healthy life. He was patience yet firm in his coaching, and was quick to praise a good play and just as quick to correct me when I was wrong, but man to man, never shouting in anger or trying to belittle my dumb play.

He proved himself to me as a coach and a gentleman. He has also proven to the people of Weatherford many times over his skill at coaching, from not only the football field, but to the classroom.

He coached the entire school district as superintendent, years after I graduated from high school. He has coached the entire City of Weatherford as mayor, all along doing so in his patience yet firm style of coaching.

We need Coach Tison to be our next State Representative. We need his style, his patience yet firm attitude, his coaching ability to motivate and make the right plays for a change.

Let’s win this game. We can with Coach Tison.

Parker County

Tax Assessor

Dear editor,

With the 2008 elections quickly approaching, and with recent articles, I wanted to voice my opinion in the race for Parker County Tax Assessor.

Larry Lippincott has held the office for the past two terms and personally I could not be more pleased with the way things are now.

I have lived in Parker County for most of my life. I have had to deal with auto registration in many ways from registering vehicles to transferring titles. The staff is very helpful and polite. I have family that has moved out of state and they have told me that it was much easier dealing with Parker County than where they are now.

All this is because Larry has strategically placed the best people in the best places. He has done a great job in my mind, and I see no reason to fix what is definitely not broke.

Some of the issues that I have heard about Larry are ridiculous.

The posters along the highway and the ones that say he is bad for government make no sense to me.

It’s auto registration.

I don’t expect to go in and have tea and cookies waiting for me every time I come in. I expect prompt, friendly and helpful service which you get that plus some.

Also, the clerks have rules that they have to abide by. I have been in the office waiting in line when a customer has demanded things that are not allowed and the clerks always remain calm and helpful,

Larry has to take credit for all this and because of that I will give him my vote.

Thanks Larry and your employees. Keep up the good work.

Paula Smith,

Poolville

Who is Joe Tison?

Dear editor,

First he attended a major Democrat Rally in Parker County. Then he filed to run as a Republican in the race for state representative. Next, he said he would not run a negative campaign, but that is all he has done. Recently, he even told a local group that he was not a Democrat or a Republican.

I’m confused. Who is Joe Tison, and what does he really stand for in the race for state representative?

Joe Tison attend a Democrat rally with a stated purpose of “Turning Parker Blue” alongside representatives from the Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama campaigns. I thought Mr. Tison said he was a Republican.

Well, not so fast. A recent newspaper article quoted Mr. Tison as saying he “was not a Democrat or a Republican.”

If that wasn’t enough to cause me concern, just the other evening, Mr. Tison’s campaign made telephone calls all over Parker and Wise counties. It was explained to those who received the call that it was a survey, but quickly turned into another shamefully bitter and negative attack on our current state representative, Phil King.

Maybe instead of trying to tear down Phil King, who has served us admirably, Mr. Tison should explain why he is taking campaign donations supporters of casino gambling. We knew a few weeks ago that Mr. Tison’s campaign had taken money from liberal, Austin-based organizations like Parent PAC, and now we hear he has hired an attack dog, political consultant from Louisiana to manage his campaign.

Again, who is Joe Tison?

Jim Trainor,

Weatherford

A chicken in

every pot

Dear editor,

There may be somebody old enough to remember that famous political slogan. Yes, if you elect me there will be a chicken in every pot! The political rhetoric coming from one side of our two-party system sounds familiar doesn’t it?

Why I have it on good authority if we elect the Democrats to the White House, all new parents will be issued an ala cart menu of government services along with their child’s birth certificate. You will be able to choose the size and type of Baby Bond and corresponding interest rate, then select the government dollar match for your contribution to the child’s automatic savings plan, check the block to enroll in the new “free” health care plan; remember you have to enroll in health care or your wages will be garnished! Finally, your child will be pre-enrolled in a college of your choice ... entrance guaranteed because it takes a “village” to raise a child in our new social order to come ... cradle to grave.

This is a big stress relief for my daughters; in the future they won’t have to worry about making all of these complicated decisions to raise a family; there will be people in Washington D.C. making decisions for them and we all know how well the government programs are managed!

One of the Democrat candidates, Ms. Clinton, has been quoted as saying the American people are just not smart enough to make the decisions necessary to take care of themselves let alone raise a family, so all aboard the gravy train ... Election Day can’t get here soon enough.

Now, seriously folks, if your vote can be bought with all of this free lunch talk with no concrete plans surfacing on how it will be paid for; well P.T Barnum said it best — “There is one born every minute” — a sucker that is!

Lonnie R. Williams,

Weatherford

Tison is the

only choice

Dear editor,

If you’re looking for a conservative, God-fearing man as your state representative, you’ve got two good choices. Joe Tison and Phil King both fit that description.

But ...

If you’re looking for a conscientious leader who will be sensitive to this community’s needs and who make himself available to listen to your concerns, vote for Joe Tison.

If you’re looking for a strong voice for education who knows how to listen to and act on the concerns of parents, taxpayers and educators, vote for Joe Tison.

If you’re looking for someone who has already had his career and will devote himself full-time, year-round to being a responsive representative of the people, vote for Joe Tison.

If you’re looking for someone who will ask the hard questions, play hardball with the special interests groups in Austin, Houston, Florida or wherever they may be found, and work hard for his constituents, vote for Joe Tison.

Really, my friend, Joe Tison, is the only choice for state representative. Please cast your vote for him in early voting or during the March 4 primary election.

James M. Hamilton,

Weatherford

Clean up your

act, Joe

Dear editor,

In the race for state representative, one thing has become abundantly clear; Joe Tison is not a clean campaigner!

Just the other evening I received what was thinly disguised as a telephone survey by the Joe Tison Campaign. In truth, it was a harsh attack on our current state representative, Phil King.

I was ashamed that Joe Tison, someone who has claimed to be a pillar of the community, would engage in such low brow political tactics.

Rep. King has served our community as state representative with distinction and commitment for eight-plus years. Rep. King’s service has resulted in many benefits to Parker and Wise counties, like passing a bill which created the Upper Trinity Groundwater Conservation District. A bill that will encourage and promote sound water conservation habits to ensure Parker and Wise counties have water for years to come.

Or how about securing the funding for Greenwood FD to receive a new fire truck so it can better protect its citizens from the dangers of fire.

This is why Parker and Wise counties have continued to re-elect Rep. King year in and year out.

If Joe Tison’s own record doesn’t provide him with a positive message for his campaign, then perhaps he needs to reconsider why he is running in this race? A mean spirited personal attack on others is not the way a candidate earns a vote in Parker County.

Come on Joe, clean up your act!

Connis Seedig,

Weatherford

Vote for the

right candidate

Dear editor,

On Tuesday, Feb. 19, it’s time to go to the polls. We have been inundated with messages from presidential, state and local elected officials and challengers. Some of those messages tell us what they’ve done and are going to do to make our communities a better place to live, raise our families and operate our businesses. Some of the messages try to muddy the water.

Today, I ask you to examine the voting records of our candidates and join me in going to the polls to re-elect our elected officials that believe in and vote for our Republican principles, that believe in smaller government with controls closer to home, public policy that supports strong families in our communities, and public policy that promotes personal accountability.

Don’t let anyone distort the truth,. You, the voter, know the elected officials that have done everything possible to represent our district and our state with integrity and commitment to conservative government principles.

I appreciate your voice and your vote. Encourage your family and friends to be a part of the process.

If you have questions on where or when you can vote
