LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Had enough yet?

WEATHERFORD —

Dear Editor:

The Obama administration has come under heavy fire recently over the Gitmo Five terrorist prisoner release; not only from conservatives, but even some liberal supporters have had a voice over this issue. Add to that all of the past and ongoing scandals, mistruths and lies over his healthcare program.

Now, as you read this the Southwest United States is being inundated by hordes of illegal immigrant children. So many in fact that military bases are being opened up to house and care for them; the border doors are open and only swing one way. In addition to this disastrous immigration action, there is no comprehensive foreign policy, our military is being gutted at a time when the world has become much more dangerous…due to Obama’s lack of foreign policy acumen, re: his recent schooling from Russian President Vladmir Putin.

If this is not enough to change the views of those who blindly support this failed socialist presidency maybe the next wave of idiotic decisions will when their own economic standing is affected. You see the jack-booted thugs at the EPA just came out with more wrong-headed emissions standards for the power generation industry in the United States. Now bear in mind they have no congressional oversight thanks to the black robe wearing senior citizens called the Supreme court.

This all stems from the global warming hoax perpetuated by Obama and all the Chicken Little environmental zealots in this country. No other country is running to sign up to this nonsense; the worst polluters are the Chinese communists and India, and they have no intention of ruining their economies. So it’s not global warming thanks to the Socialist Party it’s only the United States supposedly causing “global warming.”

In fact the Prime Minister of Australia just announced the formation of like-minded countries to collaborate on stopping Obama from pushing the so called carbon tax which will destroy or severely impact industry, jobs, and economies. Our EPA standards were levied primarily on coal-fired electrical generation plants which cannot be met; the technology does not exist and we have nothing, I repeat nothing, to replace coal at the moment.

Letters to the Editor
  • LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: I have been corrected

I was complaining about President Obama making promises that he has not kept, such as taxes will not go up one dime or health care will go down about $2,500 per year for a family of four. He said he would cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term. He said he would have an immigration plan in place. What he really meant was that if Congress would allow it, we would have open borders.

  • LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Concern for your pocketbooks

Dear Editor: My message today is to Democrats out in Parker County and the middle class and moderate-income Republicans in towns and rural areas.

  • LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Now is the time for all good men...

When man’s greed, desire for riches, power and control of our nation become greater than their love of humanity and our country, by constantly fomenting discord and hate among the citizens, warmongering and constantly talking of wars against other nations - it is putting political ideology before the welfare of citizens and country. It is time for We the People to take a good look at these men involved - no matter their status in our nation, we call the United States of America and decide whether or not they deserve the privilege and sanctuary of our nation.

  • LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Good company, better service

We would like to thank Devin’s Handyman Service, Gary Boase, David Schramm and James Reed for the wonderful job they did repainting our front fence, front porch, back porch, patio and deck. Everything looks new and makes such a difference in our home.

  • LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Don't judge a book...

Dear Editor: Thursday night, July 17, I was present for a surprisingly interesting experience when state representative candidate Matthew Britt addressed a small group of supporters, followed by a question and answer session.

  • LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Response to 'Blame game'

Dear Editor: It’s not drug cartels telling Central Americans their children won’t be turned away at the border, it is the actions of this administration with its refusal to secure the border and its unilateral rewriting of immigration law. As has been shown, this president and his administration have for some time lied about the security of the border and immigration enforcement.

  • LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Sick and tired

Do you remember hearing Hillary Clinton screaming, “I am sick and tired of people who say if you debate or disagree with this administration somehow you are not patriotic. We should stand up and say, we are Americans and we have a right to disagree with any administration.” Nancy Pelosi said that the swamp needed to be drained and I agree, but I see she and Senator Reid are still splashing around in the slime.

  • LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Our officials care

I take serious exception to Mr. Jay Cloward’s letter, “Big city, no care” (7/8/14) in which he states that it almost looks like the city wants to become a for-profit company and Weatherford has “become a city too big to care.”

  • LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: What’s so good about President Obama?

I’m proud to live in an America where our great president has passed a health care bill, after five presidents (Republican and Democratic) over the last 50 years tried and failed. I want my America to be a place where not only the rich can receive affordable health care by all citizens alike. Here’s to you, President Obama. It saddens me to hear disrespectful and pernicious comments about the man who holds the highest office of our great country. I hope that good people all across Parker County will join me in prayer for our elected leadership.

  • LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Big city, no care

The City of Weatherford officials have deemed it necessary to increase costs of utilities and taxes so more pet projects can be paid for. This comes from a city that collects money each month for storm runoff during an extended drought.
