Heidi and Jerry Slocum, of Poolville, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Dec. 14, at their favorite German restaurant with their family.
The couple met while he was serving in the military overseas in Germany. Shortly after marrying they moved back to Texas, where they raised their three children. Jerry is now retired as a disabled veteran, and Heidi is a retired beautician/caregiver.
