Wren, McCullough marry in Austin ceremony

Kathleen Elizabeth Wren and Christopher Michael McCullough were united in marriage on June 22, 2013.

The ceremony was held at The Vineyards at Chappel Lodge in Austin. Denny Ross officiated and the bride was escorted by her uncle, Leonard Simpson.

The bride is the daughter of the late John (Jay) Wren and Cynthia Wren, of Austin, and granddaughter of the late and John (Cal) Wren, Katherine Urbanek and Alfred Urbanek, of Austin. The bridegroom is the son of and Michael McCullough, of Cibolo, and grandson of Margaret Mary McCullough, of Lubbock, and Carl McClendon.

For her wedding, the bride chose a gown from Essense of Australia in an ivory fit-and-flare design, with sweetheart bodice of lace embellished with crystal and sequin beading, finished with a thin, crystal-beaded belt. The skirt was trimmed in lace with scalloped hem ending with a chapel train.

The Maids of Honor were Miss Melissa Wren, sister of the bride, and Miss Jessica Treptow. Bridesmaids were Lauren Sinkar and Sarah McCullough, sister of the groom. Best Men were Eddy Aviles and Bojan Babic. Groomsmen were Kevin Sinkar, Chris King and Eddie Swedland. The Flower Girl was Aly Jones. Ushers were Randy Simpson and Ryan Simpson, cousins of the bride.

Kathleen graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with two degrees, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. Christopher graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering and is currently in doctoral studies.

A reception followed at the terrace of The Vineyards. The couple is residing in Austin.
