Dolores Walsh has cried for days. Her state of mind is fragile and she worries for her son, 15-year-old Matthew “Matt” Timothy Ybarra, who came up missing Thursday.
He has brown eyes, black hair, stands five-foot, four-inches and weighs 130 pounds. The Hispanic sophomore attends Weatherford High School and moved to the area a-year-and-a-half ago.
Matt came up missing when his parents, Dolores and Jeff Walsh, were wakened in the middle of the night.
The knock on the door after 1 a.m. was about Matt’s 17-year-old girlfriend who was missing. Her parents and officials wanted to know if he had any information to her whereabouts.
The Walsh’s said they went to bed early and their son was in his room. When they went to question him about his missing girlfriend, they discovered he was gone as well.
“We didn’t fight or have an argument,” Dolores said. “I don’t understand this.”
Reports show some of Matt’s clothes were missing, but no other personal effects were gone.
Dolores said her son has asthma and takes daily medication for allergies.
“He didn’t take it with him,” she said. “He doesn’t have his inhaler.”
