WEATHERFORD — “From Old Main to the Hill” will be the theme for this year’s Weatherford College Homecoming activities Saturday, April 19.
Observing the 40th anniversary of the physical move of the college from “Old Main” on South Main Street to its present location “on the hill” at 225 Campus Drive, a special reception will be held in the Weatherford College Library for alumni and friends of the college.
The classes of 1967, ‘68 and ‘69 have been especially invited to attend.
The reception is scheduled from 3:45 to 5 p.m. Dress is business-casual.
The annual Homecoming Awards Banquet will begin at 5 p.m. in the Doss Student Center. Reservations are required (817) 598-6275, and tickets are $13.
“This is the cornerstone of all Homecoming events,” said Brent Baker, vice president of institutional advancement and Homecoming organizer. “The 2008 Alumnus of the Year Mildred Beard (‘42), as well as the class of Distinguished Alumni — (Dr. Pamela Austin (‘74); Dr. Sharon Pearson Bartling (‘53) and Jack Frost (‘48) — and Weatherford College Ex-Students Association scholarship recipients will be recognized.”
