Water company inks pact with city

CALGARY, Alberta, Canada, — Delzon Ellenburg, president of Fountain Quail Water Management LLC, Aqua-Pure Water Company’s Texas subsidiary, announced Friday the company has signed a letter of intent with the City of Weatherford to purchase 2 million gallons per day of treated effluent from the city for resale to gas companies in the area.

This water will be combined with fresh water produced by the company’s recycling facilities and used by companies to fracture their Barnett Shale gas wells.

Aqua Pure has obtained preliminary approval from the Texas Railroad Commission and the Texas Commission for Environmental Quality for its proposed plan to distribute the fresh water and collect the flow back and produced water by pipeline for recycling.

The company has completed the preliminary design and has obtained cost estimates for the project and is now focused on signing up customers in the target area.
