Top bucking stock help cowboys get high scores

A full schedule is a good indication of the quality of any contractor’s work.

With that being said, Scotty Lovelace and Classic Pro Rodeo must be good.

Lovelace, who is the stock producer for the 62nd Annual Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Frontier Days PRCA Rodeo, has had stock on the road since New Year’s at the Texas Circuit Finals Rodeo in Waco. And he’ll be working in December as his brand will be on some of the stock at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

Lovelace said his company’s goal is to keep his shows fresh, and holding on to the cowboy heritage associated with rodeo.

“Classic Pro Rodeo features the latest innovations, while maintaining the Spirit of the Old West,” he said. “Our goal is to produce a high-energy event that will entertain all ages.”

Working to that end, a quartet of Classic superstar bucking horses will appear here.

Big Tex, Wise Guy, Scarlet’s Web and Touched by Angel are scheduled to headline the roughstock coming to the Parker County Rodeo.’

Big Tex, the Reserve Champion PRCA bareback horse, was voted the third best ride at the National Finals, working the Las Vegas rodeo for three straight years from 2007 to this year.

Wise Guy also has an impressive work history, earning bareback horse of the year in the 2006 NFR. In addition, Wise Guy has been in the chutes at 10 consecutive National Finals, earning winning scores in five rounds.

Scarlet’s Web is a two-time NFR qualifier, as well as the Reserve Texas bareback horse of the year.

Touched by Angel captured berths in three straight NFRs, traveling to Las Vegas in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

“From the crack of the first latch until the dust settles, we will keep you on the edge of your seat with the finest livestock in the world,” Lovelace said.

Rodeo performances begin Wednesday and go through Saturday with nightly shows starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Arena.
