WRMC breaks new ground this week

WEATHERFORD-Weatherford Regional Medical Center breaks ground for its expansion at noon Wednesday.

Phase I of the $27 million project will include a new 27-bed emergency department and a 12-bed ICU, plus expansions and renovations of other departments.

“Our growing community and expanding hospital services and medical staff have made it necessary to provide additional facilities to take care of our patients,” said CEO Donnie Romine.

WRMC will break ground on the front lawn of its Anderson Street location. The ceremony officially begins at 11:30 a.m. and will feature several guest speakers. Refreshments will be provided, and it is open to the community.
