Two men were captured on video surveillance during an identity theft crime spree.
Authorities believe the crimes initiated in Houston as suspects made their way into Longview.
The Weatherford-Parker County Special Crimes Unit is currently investigating the case where the suspects used stolen identities to pass numerous checks at several businesses throughout the area.
A Weatherford resident made a report to local police saying unknown persons passed checks using his stolen identity.
The suspects appear to be black males in their early to mid 30s. Their vehicle is believed to be a light colored passenger car.
“We feel with the photographs from the video surveillance that someone will recognize the suspects,” stated Interim Chief Greg Lance in a press release. “We encourage anyone who can identify these suspects to call authorities.”
Tips can be made anonymous by calling the Parker County Crime Stoppers hotline at (817) 599-5555 or 1-800-942-STOP.
A $1,000 reward will be paid for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the persons involved in the crime.
