O’Reilly Auto Parts hosts its first Classic Car Show

Jim Payne, coordinator of the classic car show held at O’Reilly Auto Parts Saturday, said the event was a hit with car lovers young and old.

First place winners of four categories received awards for their hot wheels.

Nearly two dozen ride owners displayed their pride and joys for the public to view their favorite cars ranging from a 1925 T-Bucket and John Deer classic tractor to the Duke’s General Lee and a 1975 Lamborghini.

n Tractors: First place, Buddy Robinson; second place, Papa Joe.

n Motorcycle: First place, Buddy Robinson; second place, Milton.

n Classic: First place, Buddy Robinson for 1955 Chevy pickup; second place, Phil for 1967 Chevelle SS; third place, Tim Miller for 1956 Ford F100 truck.

n Work in progress: First place, Papa Joe for Lamborghini; second place, Papa Joe for 1925 T-Bucket; third place, Milton for 1949 International pickup.

n Best of show: First place, Buddy Robinson for 2007 Harley Bobber; second place, Dierk Roberts for General Lee; third place, Papa Joe for the Lamborghini.
