The seventh annual Willow Park Parkfest begins at tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Cross Timbers Park located at 101 Stagecoach Trail.

LaDonna Allen, Willow Park Parks and Recreation director, said the goal of the celebration is to bring the community together.

“It’s just a great way for residents to come out and meet each other,” Allen said. “People also have the chance to meet the fire department.”

The East Parker County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the annual Chili Cook-Off, and Willow Park Fire and Rescue will provide concessions.

Local arts and crafts will be showcased and available for purchase.

Entertainment will be provided by local bands including Clay Jarvis Band, Izzy Easley, and Megan Ammann and the Missus.

Children can enjoy carnival games and activities including a bounce house.

In the event of bad weather, Allen said Parkfest will only be cancelled if there is extremely heavy rain.

For more information, contact LaDonna Allen at (817) 566-8840.
