Fort Worth cyclist dies on Parker County ride

For the second time in recent days, a bicyclist has died on a Parker County road.

Todd Martin, 46, was found in the 3000 block of Precinct Road, accoording to published reports.

Martin was reportedly riding with other members of the Fort Worth Bicycling Association Saturday. He had ridden ahead of a large group of riders and apparently gone off the road.

Authorities are trying to piece together what happened next.

Initial investigation showed not damage to Martin’s bike.

Just a week ago Martin completed 318 miles in 24 hours to finish second in the solo male division of the Texas Time Trials in Glen Rose.

The other cyclist who died in Parker County was Larry McQuienn, a 55-year-old Fort Worth native wh was hit by a car Sept. 26 while riding on an Interstate 20 access road.
