Parker County students will likely be squirming in their seats this afternoon as they wait for the bell to ring around 3:30 p.m.

Most area districts are dismissing classes Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday.

The school districts of Weatherford, Aledo, Springtown, Millsap, Brock and Peaster all have posted three-day holidays on their online calendars.

“We hope all of our students and staff have a wonderful holiday with family and friends,” said Dr. Deborah Cron, Weatherford ISD superintendent. “We also hope they come back next week rested and ready to learn for the next three weeks of this semester.”

Likewise, all offices of the City of Weatherford will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Regular classes and city operations will resume as scheduled Monday morning.
