Area business closings for holidays

With the Christmas and New Year’s holidays come closings of federal, state, county and city offices as well as banks, post offices and schools.

City of Weatherford offices will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24, Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1. Sanitation and recycling services will be suspended on these days. The makeup days for Wednesday customers is Thursday, Dec. 26, and Thursday, Jan. 2. All other sanitation and recycling services will resume on the next regularly scheduled pick-up business day. 

The Weatherford Democrat will close at noon Tuesday and reopen for regular business Thursday morning. There will be no publication of a newspaper on Christmas Day.

Likewise, the WD’s offices will be closed Jan. 1 and there will be no publication of a newspaper that day.
